White outlines

One of my favorite artists, Yoskay Yamamoto, has such a unique style, a little bit of James Jean, Japanese aesthetic and street art feel merged together with brilliant colors and mood.

I am very intrigued by his use of white outlines right now.

I think it’s beautiful and somehow mysterious, like the abstracted snowflakes in Spring, the image below, or on the wall here. So lovely… his style has become a lot softer in recent years. Suits me! 🙂

He has a new exhibition, currently showing (alas in the U.S) at LeBasse Projects. You can check out some pictures online here, via Daily Dujour. Awesome work. My favorite – take a look at the detail and you will see this!
